SURPRISE UNICORNPARTY

Kuten yleissivistykseen kuuluu, toisena päivänä maaliskuuta, tänä ensimmäisenä kevään kuukautena on maailman ensteks tärkein päivä. Meikäläinen, universumin ja evoluution lahja maailmalle täytti huikeat 24 vuotta! Enää yks vuosi edessä ja sit en enää vanhene vaan oon ikuisesti kaksviis, siistiä.

Mä oon tutustunu täällä huikeisiin tyyppeihin ja tiiän et tää jengi on vaan mahtavaa, mut kaikesta huolimatta en yhtään osannu odottaa sitä, mitä perjantaina 1.3. tapahtuu. Mulle järjestettiin nimittäin yllätyssynttärit!!!!!!!!!!

Nää ovelat ketut huijas mua et me ollaan menossa Simonin, meidän ystävän synttäreille. Me laittauduttiin yhdessä Quennan luona ja käveltiin asuntoloille Woolman Hillsiin. Mä en oo varmaan ikinä saanut niin suurta sydänkohtausta kuin silloin, kun mä astuin ovesta sisään, joku sytytti valot ja mun ympärillä huudettiin SURPRISE! Mä vannon et mun elämä oli kuin kliseistä jenkkien high school elokuvaa, paitsi et niissä elokuvissa täytetään 16 ja mä 24, mut sivuseikkoja.

Juhlien teema oli yksisarvinen, mä sain yksisarvisilmapallon, kakun (!!!), lahjaksi yksisarvistohvelit, ihanan yksisarviskoristeasian ja jopa kortit oli yksisarvisteemaa. KAIKEN LISÄKSI, koska me juhlittiin 1.3. ja mun oikee synttäripäivä on 2.3., 10 sekuntia ennen keskiyötä jengi alkoi laskea 10 alaspäin. Nollan kohdalla sammutettiin valot ja seuraavana mä näin Tabean suklaabrownie kakku käsissä, kaikki lauloi onnittelulaulua ja sain puhaltaa kynttilät.

Hitto nää ihmiset on ihania.

As you all should know, in the beginning of march we celebrated the best day of all times: my birthday. The second of march this year I turned 24 years old, can you believe it? Me neither. Only one year to go and then I will turn 25 all over again - because, as you know, women don't age after 25.

I've got to know the coolest and the best people ever here, but I never could have known what I get to experience on friday, the first of march. These crazy, beautiful people threw me a SURPRISEPARTY, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?!? Because I can't.

These sneaky bastards told me that we'll celebrate Simon's birthday, so we went to Quenna's place to get ready together. We walked to Woolman Hills and I swear I've never had a heartattack as huge as then, when I opened the door and walked into a room full of people screaming SURPRISE to my face. My life was like one of those high school movies full of clichés, even though in those movies the girls have their sweet 16 not sweet 24, but that's not important.

The theme was unicorn, and I got an unicorn balloon, unicorncake (!!!!), the worlds softest uniorn slippers, small chrome unicornstatue and even the birthdaycards had unicorns in them. ON TOP OF IT ALL, because the surpriseparty was at first of march and my real bday is at the second, 10 seconds before midnight people started counting. They turned the lights out and exactly at midnight they started singing happy birthday to me, Tabea carrying chocolatebrowniecake which had candles in it.

Damn I love these people.

David Welch winter gardens and photoshoot

Käytiin Saksabeiben kanssa kuvaamassa mun naapurissa tönöttävässä talvipuutarhassa. Oon asunut Aberdeenissa yli kuukauden ja silti en oo eksynyt sinne kertaakaan? Onneksi Sarah nappasi mun superväsyneestä olkapäästä kiinni ja raahasi mut mukaansa. Olisin muuten viettänyt päivän viltinmutkaan kääriytyneenä, teemuki toisessa ja kirja toisessa kädessä. Tarkoitus oli vaan kiertää talvipuutarha ja sit tulla mun luo testaamaan uunifetapastaa, mut ne suunnitelmat muuttukin vahingossa photoshootiksi. Kuvia meikästä on vähän vähemmänlaisesti, kun mun oikee silmä muistuttaa punaista golfpalloa. (ei, se ei oo kaikesta huolimatta tulehtunut.) Testattiin kyllä myös uunifetapasta, laitan sen ohjeen teille tähän postaukseen. Tuli ihan superhyvää, 100/5.

Nyt reilu kuukauden jälkeen huomaa, kuinka stressi viimein purkaantuu ja väsymys nostaa päätään. Ollaan koko jengi oltu ihan rikki lähiaikoina. Mulla on ollut tällä viikolla vain yksi aikainen herätys, koska social studies on siis suoraan sanottua hengailua. Teen RGU:ssa vaan kaks kurssia, joka tarkoittaa kahta luentoa ja kahta tutoriaalituntia. Tällä viikolla luennot peruttiin ja toinen tutoriaaleista tulevan IPL-päivän takia, joten tän keskiviikon oikeustalovierailu oli mun ainoa aamuherätys. Tän seurauksena hyvästi unirytmi ja huomenta neljän tunnin yöunet aamuherätyspäivinä. (ja meinasin kuolla nauruun, ne tuomarit pitää oikeesti päässä sellasia hevosenjouhista tehtyjä valkoisia peruukkeja. Luulin et se on vaan legendaa.)

Varattiin matka Edinburghiin, sekä ollaan rakennettu suunnitelmia tulevan spring breakin ja road tripin ympärille. Oon niin innoissani, en malta odottaa et pääsen näkemään Victoria Streetin ja Isle of Skyen, puhumattakaan Potter bridgestä ja Loch Nessistä! Plus oon niin onnellinen tästä säästä: helmikuu, kukat kukkii ja ulkona tarkenee. Elämä best.

On wednesday we went to see the David Welch winter garden with my fellow germanbabe. I don't get it, I've been living literally right next to it for a month now but I still never got myself to see it before now. I'm happy Sarah texted me and got some life into me, I was so tired I almost died due to my four hour -sleep and unexisting liferythm. We were supposed to just go around the garden and then come to make some ovenfetapasta to my place, but well, we ended up having a photoshoot. There's not many pictures of me because my right eye has something wrong with it and it's almost a size of a golf-ball. (and no, it's not infected!)

We also booked a trip to Edinbourgh, we have been planning to our roadtrip around the Scotland and I'm so excited! I can't wait to see Victoria Street, the Potter bridge and Loch Ness! And one of the best things ever: it's February and there is flowers! It's warm outside and life is the best.

Uunifetapasta
(kahdelle tai sadalle, riippuu syöjistä)
- 500g pastaa
- 200g-400g fetajuustoa, riippuu kuinka fetaisaa haluaa
- oliiviöljyä
- 1/2 punainen chilipalko (jos tahtoo)
- kirsikkatomaatteja nii paljon ku huvittaa
- paprikaa nii paljon ku haluttaa
- sipulia ja valkosipulia jos tuntuu siltä
- pippuria
- suolaa

1. Uunivuoan pohjalle öljyä, lätkäse feta keskelle ja siipaloi vihannekset ympärille. Sipali ja valkosipali fetan päälle ja vuoan reunoille. Nakkaa päälle suolat ja pippurit.
2. Koko läjä uuniin, 200C 15min ja sitten nosta 225C ja 10min. Jos mahollista niin uuni grillivastukselle. Jos ei onnistu ei haittaa, meilläkään ei ollu grillihommia! Tarkkaile ettei paahdu liikaa.
3. Keitä pastat.
4. Nakkaa koko feta-asia pastan sekaan, mäskää feta sinne ja sit vaan sapuskaa napaa kohti. Jos haluaa olla hienopieru ni basilikaa päälle, mut me ei jaksettu.

Ovenfetapasta recipe:
(for two or hundred people, depends on the size of a hunger)
- 500g pasta
- 200g-400g feta (depends on how fetasty you want it)
- oliveoil
- 1/2 chili (if you want, we didn't)
- cherrytomatoes (as much as you want to)
- red pepper (if you feel like it)
- onion and garlic (depends on how much you're afraid of vampires, we used A LOT)
- pepper
- salt

1. Put some oil at the bottom of the pan, drop the feta in the middle and cut the vegetables. Spread them around the feta, put some onion and garlic to the sides and also on the top of the feta. Salt and pepper on the top.
2. Throw the mess into the oven, 200C for 15 mins and then change it to 225C and let the feta chill 10 min in the oven. If you have a grill setting in your oven, that would be preferred for the last 10 mins. We didn't have it tho. Keep on eye of the feta so that it doesn't grill too much and end up being black.
3. Boil the pasta.
4. Mix and match pasta with feta and vegs or the other way around. Mush the feta into the small, tiny pieces so it's a beautiful mess. If you want to be a fancypants, serve with some basilika on top. We were animals and ate without.
